Cruising through Georgia...great skies!

Redundancy, redundancy, redundancy...
Ok, the MacBook Air laptop runs Polar Navy Navigation and gets it's GPS via bluetooth from a Dual 160 receiver, which is set directly in front of Joell.  We also had the iPad Pro located where Joell is looking now, but we fried it in the sun 😂and it'll no longer stay connected to the Dual 160 GPS via bluetooth...(can't use that for anymore navigation), so now it's located in the top right  part of the screen and only used for internet and Joell's older iPad is now at the helm.  The other iPad by the coffee cup is an original iPad and only pumps music into our stereo.  We use all Ram Mounts to hold the iPads...great mounts...

We crossed over the Savannah River, thank God, just before this big bugger headed out to sea...

Another Hurricane Matthue result?

We're now in Beaufort, S.C. on a mooring ball for one week...($105 buckireenies for the week)

Were told Hurricane Matthew sunk this on right at the city dock...

Just a beautiful boat here at the City Dock...

Today we hit gold!  Well at least gas was cheaper then anywhere else on the loop so far.  A truck came to the marina and pumped us full.  We even filled our 75 gallon bladder.  The guy trucking it in is third generation doing this.  It is mainly for the local farmers.

This is Rivers Edge Marine located in St. Augustine, Fl..

Right next door is Hurricane Patty's Restaurant...

95 cent shrimp and they were super large and delicious...

Hurricane Patty's back open bar (currently closed in this early morning)

Their deck...

A little seating overlooking the marina...

one of the plants blooming in the area...

heading back to the boat...

We had a gas truck pull up and fill our 214 gallon gas tank and also the 75 gallon bladder which is currently on the front of the boat...  we'll transfer it once our internal gas tank falls below half...
$2.26 a gallon... lowest price on the trip...

This is Sanctuary, a De Fever 41' boat that Steve and Theresa own... we've been traveling with them on and off...

Define the word "close"

We have had a lot of friends, who live in Florida, visit us during this wonderful trip.  Quite a few of them traveled 2 to 2 1/2 hours, so we could enjoy their company.  My point, our nephew was less than an hour from our anchorage last night and we couldn't see him.  He would have taken a cab to visit us, but it was impossible.  We had the Ponce de Leon Inlet to our east and deserted islands all around.  During the day a lot of boaters were enjoying the beautiful beaches, but at night all was quiet.  There was no place around us to get to the mainland.  So close, yet so far away.

We weren't very happy with our meal at Cracker Jack's that was recommended by the marina...
Poor management, and under staffed... I had no idea I was displaying the crossed arm form of disappointment...

Ata-way to stick the keel in the sand...
I give you a 10 on my scorecard!

Pic's are a little blurry, we were taking them through the Stratoglass due to wind and cool temps in the morning...
Maybe this guy was just "Pulling over to ask directions" like Captain Ron...

Time for a new "tile" roof...

We see you in there little boat...

Free Looper Boat's
We ran into a plethora of sunken, abandoned boats on our travels today...

We've not seen boats this size in the drink...

That's a big cruiser...

Another good size one...

This looks like it was a great sail boat...even has a nice solar panel on the back...

Stuck on it's keel...

There's no hiding them...

There's the bow...

Sun setting in our anchorage and the no-see-ums are coming out...
were going inside...

A small airport nearby...

Gilligan's Island
We found Gilligan's Island and the USS Minnow

There she is, grounded on a deserted island...

Hard aground...

Joell, turn around and drive the boat... you don't have eyes in the back of your head (do you?)

Just had lunch and what do we find...freeloaders...in our wake...
